Over a length of time, writing became more and more important to me. It was like a weight had lifted. I realized in my life that I did not have a choice picking my parents. My mom was 12 years old and my dad had just returned from the war at 19 years old. How I grew up I noticed I became a duplicate of my mother. What she knew she taught me, it was a hit and mis situation. It was hard to make friends at school because of the things that I did not have, clothes and shoes like the rest of the girls being teased so much, I felt there was not hope sometimes. My teacher asked each one of the students to show the class on then map where you were going when you graduate. When it was my turn, I pointed to salt lake city Utah.  I reached the age 17, I told my mom I had to go, there is something out there for me. I didn’t know but I wanted to find it for myself. I cried so hard deep down telling my mother I had to go. I arrived in Salt Lake City Utah and I realized that was the place I suppose to be. From that point on in my life my vision became more clear.

There’s going to be very painful moments in your life that lwill change your entire world in a matter of minutes. Let them make you stronger, smarter and kinder, and hold your head up high because God is walking with you.
